If you and your partner are open-minded, adventurous, and prioritize your spiritual connection, Tandava Retreats is excited to share a unique opportunity for a first-of-its-kind, five-day Couple’s Retreat--Opening to Eros. The retreat, which utilizes 5-MeO-DMT, is catered to couples with a solid foundation of communication who are eager to explore subconscious patterns and core beliefs that may impair the personal and relational expression of Eros or “lifeforce.”
Participants will deepen their experience of vitality, vivacity, imagination, fantasy and co-creation through a relational lens, with group workshops and privately assigned exercises including embodiment practices, breathwork, meditative Tantra and massage.
5-MeO-DMT has proven to be a powerful tool for catharsis, and draws on emotional, somatic, and spiritual resources to shift the way our bodies and psyches hold and respond to relational constructs both past and present. This unique, spiritual container offers the necessary space and deep intentionality for couples to connect and expand in ways that prioritize dyadic and transcendence. All and gender expressions are welcome.
The retreat will be held in Tepoztlan, Mexico, September 20-24, 2023, at Tandava’s flagship retreat center located in beautiful and sunny Tepoztlan, Mexico, in the state of Morelos. Just a 90-minute scenic ride south of Mexico City airport, couple’s will enjoy an all-inclusive experience including locally-sourced food, pool, hot tub, sauna, communal spaces and private, well-appointed rooms.
Opening to Eros will be facilitated by Dr. Holly Richmond, @drhollyrichmond who is a somatic psychotherapist, certified therapist and mindful expert, Victoria Wueschner, @sacredsurrendermedicine Co-Founder of F.I.V.E Education and 5-MeO-DMT Facilitator, and Joël Brierre (aka: Joël the entheogenic yogi) who is the Founder & CEO of Kaivalya Kollectiv, President of Tandava Retreats, and a pioneer in the modern psychedelic movement with decades of experience utilizing 5-MeO-DMT
Mornings begin with a practice involving gentle yoga, breathwork, and meditation. This is followed by a delicious breakfast enjoyed by the stunning mountain views.
Ceremonies are generally done in the late morning, with lunch around noon and free time for relaxation and integration in the mid-afternoon. Dinner is followed by integration circles, satsangs, and self-care activities such as enjoying the spa or steam room for those who wish to participate.
We encourage participants to slow down, observe and take time to integrate their experiences during their retreat days.
Self-care is really valuable –for some people that includes journalling, embracing the present moment while enjoying the beautiful gardens and awe-inspiring mountains which form the backdrop to the retreat centre, or simply relaxing by the pool and connecting with other retreat guests when they wish to, or arranging the time for focussed support with Tandava Retreats team members as needed.
Note: The schedule is approximate and may change
Joel Brierre
A Yogi, psychedelic integration specialist, and spiritual coach. He began his relationship with psychedelics as a teenager in an exploratory manner. Marveling at the chance to explore the unexplored, Joel began training with Curanderos in Peru in 2001 where he further pursued these heightened states of awareness. Eventually shifting his focus into a deep and devoted yoga practice, he began teaching yoga and meditation and soon moved on to India to study in an ashram setting in Rishikesh. From there he traveled all around the world, soaking up knowledge and sharing what he’d learned. He was reintroduced to plant medicine in 2009 while living in the Caribbean and began to incorporate this into his yoga practice. From there he went on to study with various guides and facilitators of different lineages and practices With this combination of knowledge, Joël now leads retreats and workshops around the world on plant medicine and yoga connection.
Joel is now the CEO of the Psychedelic wellness company Kaivalya Kollectiv and its subsidiary Tandava Retreats, as well as president of the education and resource platform F.I.V.E (Five-MeO-DMT Information and Vital Education).
Victoria Wueschner
Victoria’s first introduction into the world of healing was through plant medicine. Knowing she had found her path, Victoria explored the world, working with different psychedelic plant medicines over the span of a decade, with both indigenous and modern teachers. In 2016 she set out to complete her Yoga teacher training in Bali, which allowed her to gain further insight into the different lenses used in spirituality. After returning to her home in Vancouver Island to share these gifts, she continued to pursue her fascination with plant medicines.
Victoria is the founder and president of Kaivalya’s education platform F.I.V.E (5-MeO-DMT Information and Vital Education). Her mission at F.I.V.E is to provide the world with a centralized hub for all resources and education on 5-MeO-DMT, in hopes of bringing awareness to the ethics, integrity, and safety of 5-MeO-DMT.
